Job Title: Technical Product Owner β Cloud
Reporting into: Head of Cloud Engineering
Location: Atlanta or Boston preferred
The Technical Product Owner - Cloud is a critical role within our organization, responsible for identifying, triaging, estimating, refining, planning, and executing enhancements to our Cloud infrastructure.
This person will report to the Head of Cloud Platform and work closely with a team of Cloud Engineers and DevOps engineers. The role is essential for ensuring the cost effectiveness, scalability, and availability of our cloud platform. The desired locations for this role are Boston, MA or Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibility Areas
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Identify and prioritize enhancements to Hiscox cloud infrastructure.
Align product strategy with business objectives and customer needs.
Develop and maintain the product roadmap, dependencies, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and customer feedback.
Triage and estimate tasks related to cloud improvements.
Refine and plan cloud infrastructure projects.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions and improvements.
Ensure cloud products meet customer needs and deliver a positive user experience.
Monitor product performance, usage, and adoption metrics.
Develop and present regular reports on product performance, customer feedback, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud product management.
Continuously evaluate and enhance product processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Sprint Planning and Execution:
Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of cloud products and features.
Ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with the product strategy.

Prioritize sprints and manage the backlog.
Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and DevOps engineers to execute planned tasks.
Ensure timely delivery of cloud infrastructure enhancements.
Cost Effectiveness and Scalability:
Monitor and optimize the cost effectiveness of the cloud platform.
Ensure the scalability and availability of cloud services.
Implement best practices for cloud resource management.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of IT experience or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma / GED and 7+ years of Product / Project Management experience in the credit card, financial services, insurance industry or technology industries
5+ yearsβ Product / Project Management experience in the credit card, financial services, or technology industries
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification
Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines and Infrastructure as a code (Terraform)
Knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM, Encryption, etc)
Knowledge of Cloud Network and RDS, Event Streaming & Caching services
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Action oriented β create an environment to leverage agile methodology and deliver continuous benefit to the business teams during the project
Proven experience in problem solving and negotiated solutions
Ability to travel
Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Certification).
Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in creating and managing Cloud roadmaps
Expertise in gathering and defining product requirements
Financial services or insurance industry experience preferred
Strong communications, relationship building and collaborative sills
Demonstrated solutions delivery experience with relevant examples that improved performance and customer experience
Knowledgeable on financial services, payment industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies
Experience managing and collaborating with offshore resources, organizing and motivating diverse cross-functional teams
Strong business acumen and superior decision-making skills
Ability to work seamless across a matrixed organization
Creativity, enthusiasm and energy with a strong βcan doβ attitude; results driven and oriented
Lead development teams to achieve product roadmap deliverables of enterprise solutions

Salary Range: $110-$140k
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly**
