Key Responsibilities:

  • Use customer feedback, market analysis, and data to inform product decisions
  • Define and manage success metrics to inform ongoing product strategy
  • Know your customer by regularly engaging current and prospective users to understand needs and behaviors
  • Drive build-test-learn experiments to validate assumptions and refine product direction
  • Create, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog by decomposing complex problems into epics/features/user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to define solution approaches, technical requirements, and delivery sequencing
  • Own non-functional requirements (NFRs) for performance, availability, scalability, resiliency, and observability
  • Drive security-by-design and privacy-by-design requirements in partnership with Security, Risk, and Compliance
  • Define telemetry and analytics instrumentation to measure adoption, reliability, and business outcomes
  • Ensure production readiness through release planning, feature flags, runbooks, and incident response expectations
  • Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction by prioritizing modernization, refactoring, and dependency upgrades
  • Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap; incorporate timely stakeholder feedback
  • Ensure development standards are followed to enable tight feedback loops and clear product definition
  • Coach and mentor team members and cross-functional partners on collaboration, ideation, consumer research, experiment design and execution, measurement, implementation, customer interactions, and rollout
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders during execution to ensure expectations are met
  • Proactively remove obstacles and resolve roadblocks to achieve product goals
  • Identify and develop services and service level agreements (SLAs); educate senior leaders and continuously improve service-related processes
