About the company:

Picture this: a β€œheart-led” and β€œempathy-focused” F100 insurance company that’s pushing the boundaries of tech and innovation, always going for the next big thing…who is ALSO a venerable, 200-year-old company with incredible resources, culture, and growth! It’s the best of both worlds.

Diversity and humanity are deeply rooted values in their company culture, and they care deeply about their employees and their user base. They have world-class benefits - including great health coverage, 6 month parental leave, and a pension, to name a few highlights. They have been named one of Fortune’s β€œWorld’s Most Admired Companies”, are in the top 50 companies in Forbes’ 2024 β€œAmerica’s Best Employers for Diversity”, and received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s β€œ2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index”.Β

As the company is owned by the policyowners themselves - not by shareholders! - they don’t answer to Wall Street. So they can truly take their time to invest in long-term projects that will fundamentally benefit their millions of users, as opposed to just getting things out the door for short-term profits. So it’s a really wonderful headspace to create in!

They are in the midst of massive growth and expansion, both building out a bevy of 0 to 1 products as well as innovating on their legacy products, so it’s a great time to get in the door to build impactful, high-visibility products at a massive scale.

About the role:

We’re looking for a strategic midlevel Product Manager with B2B tools experience to join our client’s growing Product Management team. Ideally you’ve got experience working on internal tools for Agents (financial agents, insurance agents, real estate agents, sales agents or sales teams, etc), as you’ll be working on building platforms for their Agents, who function very much like a small business within the company.Β

These tools include β€œcreator” type products that empower Agents to create their own websites, social assets, and email marketing campaigns. You’ll also be optimizing consumer-facing Agent profile pages and locators.

You’ll be both evolving existing platforms while creating net-new products (so there’s some juicy 0 to 1 build work in here!), and contributing to the overall growth of the Product function within one of the company’s most dynamic and innovative teams.

It’s less of a technical Product Management role, so anyone coming out of a Tech PM background will not be a fit. Instead, you’ll work with Product Owners (POs) in Tech who will be doing the heavy-lifting tech work - so you’ll be concentrating more on Strategy, roadmapping, and competitive research, while the PO will be overseeing technical requirements and definition, user stories, testing, and releases.

Β What You’ll Do:

β€’ Proactively manage and support the definition, development, execution, and delivery of digital products, platforms, features, and enhancements.

β€’ Drive product strategy by proactively identifying opportunities, defining needs, and shaping the vision to align with business objectives and user outcomes.

β€’ Create roadmaps and high-level requirements based on user and business needs, feasibility, and impact.

β€’ Work with the Research team to analyze qual and quant research and data to support discovery, ideation, and prioritization.

β€’ Define OKRs and monitor and communicate progress against them

β€’ Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, designers, and product owners.

β€’ Apply Agile processes and principles.

β€’ Generate and maintain process and product documentation.

β€’ Develop and refine product strategy processes and artifacts.

β€’ Support product leaders to help coordinate key product and project management tasks across various portfolios.

Β

What You’ll Bring:

β€’ Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business, Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or other related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience.

β€’ 3+ years of experience in product management or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering successful products or product features.

β€’ Proficiency across the full product lifecycle, with product certification or training preferred.

β€’ A Product mindset – curiosity about challenges and opportunities, passion and empathy for users, a love of problem-solving, and a drive to create value.

β€’ Exceptional project management and organizational skills.

β€’ Professional background at a F500 company, or a larger highly matrixed organization

β€’ Advanced analytical abilities and proficiency in data analysis.

β€’ Thrive at being a collaborative and supportive team player who is comfortable with ambiguity

And if you have this, we really want to hear from you:

β€’ Experience in the fintech industry, life insurance, retirement, or another highly regulated industry

β€’ Experience with Advisor or Agent platforms and experiences a strong plus.
