The Product Manager will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager will collaborate with the development team to drive product development in line with the three-year product roadmap and ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Defines product requirements based on customer, prospect and evaluator inputs, market direction and field contribution; generates Market Requirements Document (MRD).
  • Drives product development in Research & Development based on requirements management and product lifecycle.
  • Participates in development and execution of a product vision and roadmap.
  • Defines user personas and use cases.
  • Creates executive briefing documents to drive the decision-making process.
  • Ensures knowledge transfer of product functionality to marketing & sales.
  • Influences cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Delivers technical, fact-oriented content for pricing, positioning and collateral.
  • Provides software demonstrations to internal constituents, customers, press, analysts, at events.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Builds and manages a virtual team comprised of worldwide members.
  • Runs beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
  • Identifies opportunities for emerging technology and business issues that present opportunities or threats to the company.
  • Identifies new market opportunities within the company’s distinctive competence.
  • Demonstrates product knowledge with external audiences, such as press, thought leaders, analysts, speaking engagements at trade shows and user groups.
  • May manage OEM/Technical provider relationships.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

What you’ll bring to us…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or quantitative field (Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or similar.)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry.
  • Ability to understand product features and describe associated customer value.
  • Ability to map market requirements into product features.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.
  • Full understanding of product management skills; ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Skilled in effective communication, influencing and negotiation.
  • Organizational skills for managing commitments, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no instructions on day-to-day work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
