Description

Gems Setra is seeking an expert Product Manager that will be responsible for driving the growth of our industrial sensors product lines. In this position, you will work closely with customers to understand needs in the market, innovate with new products/applications/services, and deliver for our customers with ownership across the full product lifecycle. This role will require you to develop a deep understanding of market segmentation, evaluate new product development opportunities, identify strategic market adjacencies, and lead a portfolio go-to-market strategy. You will join a diverse team of Product Managers with strong business insights, passion for tackling problems, and a technical background.

A Successful Candidate will:

  • Own all aspects of your product portfolio, including achievement of financial plans – orders, revenue, margin – through the use of daily management practices.
  • Lead the short-term and long-term roadmap of your portfolio with cross-functional teams using deep market analysis and evaluation of new product opportunities.
  • Drive Voice-of-Customer (VOC) collection and experimentation for your products to develop market understanding (customer personas, segmentation, etc.) and create conviction around prioritization of solutions that meet customers’ applications.
  • Build cases (profit/loss scenario, risks, etc.) to support future opportunities and present to management.
  • Identify differentiated value propositions of your products and partner with Marketing to create meaningful sales collaterals, including sales presentations, application notes and case studies.
  • Perform competitive evaluation and market analysis to develop clear product positioning and pricing strategies that generate incremental revenue and expand market share.
  • Guide and work with Engineering to design solutions and features, while prioritizing those to drive the most return on investment and ensure sustainable success.
  • Collaborate with the other product lines to ensure consistent progress throughout the entire product lifecycle.Β

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field is required. MBA with relevant focus preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience (Product Line, Engineering, Marketing) with global products.Β 
  • Strong foundation in marketing fundamentals, including pricing, positioning, articulating value propositions, building a differentiated strategy, understanding customer needs, and more.
  • Experience building product innovation pipelines and roadmaps.
  • Analytical & logical fact-based problem solving.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities to groups, large and small.
  • Proactive, collaborative teammate and possesses an owner mentality
  • Effective at time management and priority setting.
  • Can travel domestically and internationally, 25%.
