We are looking for an Auto Insurance Product Manager to join our product team.Β 

Β 

The Auto Insurance Product Manager role at American Collectors Insurance is responsible for overseeing growth and profitability of our collector auto insurance products. They will design and develop strategies and initiatives using product, pricing and risk management knowledge to achieve our growth and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have strong auto insurance industry knowledge, be intellectually curious and able to translate analytical, regulatory and competitive information into strategic plans that drive both state and countrywide-level performance in our highly competitive niche market of collector car insurance.

In this job you will:

  • Drive business growth and profitability by monitoring KPIs such as loss ratio, retention, new business growth and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Work with our overall product team on development of product changes and pricing
  • Develop new insights to inform rate, risk management guidelines and product decisions based on competitive landscape analysis including exploratory analytics

Compensation: $100-120k/yr depending on experience level

Responsibilities

  • Develops, recommends, communicates, and executes product strategies to improve profitability and market share of our collector auto product
  • Partners with pricing actuaries in the rate review process, and provides direction based on market intel, underwriting input, and product performance to influence pricing proposals
  • Monitors the marketplace for emerging opportunities and identify competitor and industrial changes impacting the effectiveness of the current product offers and pricing position
  • Works with data modelers and others to evaluate opportunities to create, evaluate, and refine predictive pricing models, and monitor to ensure models are favorably impacting business lines
  • Monitors regulatory environment to ensure product compliance
  • Delivers effective presentations of product plan changes and product performance
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management within the auto insurance industryΒ 
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, business or equivalent
  • Critical thinker with strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven history of taking initiative and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organized, detail-oriented with strong project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
