Job Purpose:
Napa Home & Garden is looking for an Assistant Product Manager who wants more than a foot in the door; someone who wants a real seat at the table while learning the full arc of merchandising, from trend to assortment to P&L. This is the first step on Napa's merchandising career path, built for someone who's analytical, design-curious, and ready to grow into a future Product Manager.
What You'll Own
- Assortment & product execution. Maintain assortment line lists, product setup, and SKU data across 2β3 seasons at once; support development from concept through launch, tracking milestones, samples, and vendor communication.
- Brand & Market audits. Support competitive audits, contribute to collection naming and feature storytelling for new product launches.
- Analytics that drive decisions. Build weekly and monthly reporting on sales, margin, and inventory health, and flag trends before they become problems β using Excel, Power BI, and ERP tools.
- Vendor & cross-functional coordination. Communicate daily with domestic and international vendors on POs, samples, and timelines; partner with Design, Supply, Sales, and Marketing to keep launches on track.
- Growing into the role. Participate in line reviews, trade shows (Atlanta Market, High Point), and category business reviews. Napa wants Assistant Product Managers who ask good questions and push category performance forward.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years in Buying, Merchandising, Retail or related analytical or commercial role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data
- Sharp organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple seasons and deadlines.
- Curiosity about home dΓ©cor, design trends, and consumer behavior
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field, or equivalent career/internship experience.Β
Bonus points: ERP/PLM exposure, Power BI experience, or prior internship/early-career work supporting product or buyers/merchants.

- Twice a year during Market periods, standing and walking for 8-12 hours each day

This is a hybrid role based at our Norcross, GA headquarters. Candidates should expect to be in the office up to 3 days a week. Extended hours and select weekends during peak season, showroom prep and market (twice annually).
