Ready to own the most economically critical surface in conversational commerce?
Alexa for Shopping drove billions in incremental sales last year, converts at 3.5x the rate of traditional keyword search, and was used by millions of customers. Shopping Actions β add to cart, checkout, purchase β is the economic engine that makes it all work.
This is not a βnice to haveβ feature team. This is core to economics. If customers canβt buy, nothing else matters.
If you want to own the single most critical conversion surface in conversational commerce, keep reading.
Alexa Shopping is redefining how hundreds of millions of customers purchase products through conversational and multimodal experiences. The Shopping Actions team owns the core transactional layer β enabling customers to add to cart, checkout, and complete purchases seamlessly across Alexa-enabled surfaces (voice, screen, app, web).
We are looking for a tenured, technically strong PMT who is an AI-native builder. You will own the end-to-end Shopping Actions experience, driving product vision and execution while partnering across multiple engineering and science organizations. Youβll leverage AI/ML tooling in your own workflows to move faster, analyze deeper, and ship products that delight customers leveraging conversational shopping AI.
Youβll be joining a team with tenured Amazonian leadership β leaders who are technically deep, operationally excellent, and have a track record of growing their people. The leadership chain from your manager through the VP is composed of builders who understand the technology, can whiteboard architecture with you, and are invested in your career trajectory.
Key job responsibilities
β’ Own product vision and roadmap for Shopping Actions (Add to Cart, Checkout, Purchase Completion) across voice, visual, and multimodal surfaces
β’ Define, instrument, and self-serve metrics β build your own dashboards, write queries, and analyze data to drive decisions without waiting on analytics teams
β’ Write crisp product requirements (PRFAQs, BRDs, tech specs) that unambiguously translate customer problems into engineering-ready solutions
β’ Operate across organizational boundaries β influence and align engineering and science teams spanning multiple L10 organizations; earn trust and drive decisions without direct authority
β’ Leverage AI as a force multiplier β use generative AI, automation, and modern tooling to accelerate research, analysis, spec writing, and operational workflows
β’ Drive technical depth β go deep on API design, latency trade-offs, and system architecture to earn credibility with engineering partners
β’ Own experimentation and iteration β design A/B tests, define success criteria, and rapidly iterate based on quantitative outcomes
β’ Communicate strategy and progress to senior leadership through WBRs, MBRs, OP cycles, and ad-hoc reviews
