We are a rapidly growing logistics startup that pairs industry expertise with technology to reduce shipping costs for our clients. We are company is a small, distributed team of 10, building out an dynamic culture where we function both independently and collaboratively so that we can achieve our [large + ambitious] business goals together. Every voice, idea and bit of effort matter at this stage - come make an impact with us!

This is our first Product hire, meaning you'll have end-to-end ownership and the chance to shape the product function from the ground up, with a mix of modernizing existing portions and building out new ones (our product is internally facing and supports most of our processes).. You’ll report into the leadership team internally (mostly EST) and be collaborating directly with our off-shore longstanding engineering team in India.Β If you thrive in a fast-moving startup environment and love working across complex architectures, pricing algorithms, and technical modernization, this is the role for you.


What You’ll Do

  • Own the product roadmap – Prioritize features, technical debt, and modernization efforts.
  • Bridge business and engineering – Translate business needs into structured product requirements for the India-based engineering team.
  • Enhance system architecture – Work with engineering to containerize parts of the product and improve scalability.
  • Manage complexity – Our product involves constantly evolving integrations with shipping carriers and a complex pricing algorithmβ€”you'll need to keep many moving parts in mind.
  • Improve internal workflows – Address gaps in how product requirements get translated from leadership to developers.
  • Enforce accountability – Set clear expectations, timelines, and priorities to ensure execution aligns with business goals.

What You Bring

  • Experience in product management within a startup or early-stage company.
  • Ability to keep track of multiple moving parts in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of system architectureβ€”previous experience in Java, PHP, AWS, or technical products is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with complex pricing models and real-time data integrations.
  • Intellectual acuity to work through technical and business challenges.
  • Excellent soft skills + communication – You’ll act as the translator between business and engineering.
  • Experience working with distributed engineering teams (our engineers are based in India).
  • Strong organizational skillsβ€”ability to prioritize, set timelines, and drive execution.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modernizing legacy systems or containerization.
  • Background in shipping, logistics, or e-commerce integrations.
  • Familiarity with agile workflows and tools like Jira or Asana.

Logistics:

  • Location: Remote (east coast US time zone a plus)
  • Compensation: $140-180k
