Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner โ€“ AI / Commercial Card for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI-driven, data-intensive, and payment-focused products within a regulated banking environment. This role serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, data scientists, architects, developers, and external vendors, translating business and regulatory needs into product requirements, technical specifications, and actionable delivery plans. The ideal candidate combines strong Product Owner or Business Analyst experience with technical knowledge of AI/ML, APIs, data platforms, payments, fraud, authorization, and enterprise data governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for AI-driven, data-intensive, commercial card, payments, fraud, or digital banking initiatives, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, business objectives, and customer needs
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, data scientists, architects, developers, and vendors to define product vision, requirements, priorities, and delivery outcomes
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business, regulatory, operational, and technical requirements into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional/non-functional specifications
  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, regulatory requirements, customer impact, technical dependencies, risk, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure epics and user stories support established product roadmaps and contain sufficient detail for development, testing, and implementation
  • Bridge business needs with technical vendor solutions, ensuring proposed solutions satisfy product requirements, integration needs, and enterprise standards
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product and technical documentation for AI models, algorithms, data processes, APIs, system integrations, and business workflows
  • Ensure AI documentation, data definitions, algorithms, and product requirements align with enterprise data governance, privacy, security, ethical AI, and regulatory policies
  • Document end-to-end data flows, lineage, transformations, business rules, and data persistence across AI, fraud, authorization, transaction processing, and servicing platforms
  • Collaborate with architects and development teams to define API contracts, schemas, validation rules, error handling, integration patterns, and data requirements
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, demonstrations, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to support successful product delivery
  • Define functional, integration, data, and performance acceptance criteria and partner with QA teams to ensure delivered functionality meets product requirements
  • Conduct impact, dependency, and regression analysis for AI models, APIs, data pipelines, product functionality, and platform changes
  • Monitor product performance, data quality, operational metrics, and user feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and continuous improvement
  • Work with data scientists and AI/ML teams to understand model inputs, outputs, algorithms, lifecycle processes, performance metrics, and business impacts
  • Ensure AI-enabled products and solutions are appropriately documented and aligned with responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, and compliance requirements
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI, data, and technology concepts into clear business and product requirements
  • Support vendor management activities by evaluating technical solutions, documenting requirements, tracking dependencies, and ensuring vendor deliverables align with product objectives
  • Provide training, product knowledge, and guidance to business and operational users regarding AI tools, workflows, product capabilities, and documentation standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting technology, AI, data, payments, or digital banking initiatives
  • Proven experience owning or managing product backlogs, defining priorities, and translating business needs into actionable product requirements
  • Strong experience creating and maintaining technical, functional, and product documentation for complex technology or data-driven solutions
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar product management, requirements, and documentation tools
  • Experience developing epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional/non-functional requirements
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data analysis, data pipelines, model lifecycle management, and cloud-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, data models, system integrations, API documentation, and data validation concepts
  • Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into clear product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, developers, architects, data scientists, QA, security, and external vendors
  • Experience working within regulated environments with data governance, privacy, security, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills

Desired skills:

  • Commercial Card, payments, transaction processing, digital banking, fraud, or authorization domain expertise
  • Experience with TSYS or other card-processing/mainframe platforms
  • Knowledge of commercial card transaction flows, authorization, settlement, servicing, fraud detection, or transaction monitoring
  • Experience working with AI/ML products, NLP solutions, generative AI, or AI model lifecycle management
  • Experience documenting AI algorithms, model inputs/outputs, data lineage, model performance, and governance requirements
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS, data privacy, information security, responsible AI, and enterprise technology controls
  • Experience with API integrations, message contracts, event-driven architectures, and data validation frameworks
  • Experience working with cloud-based data and AI platforms
  • Experience managing technology vendors or third-party product solutions
  • SAFeยฎ Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), SAFeยฎ Agilist (SA), or equivalent Agile certification

Pay range: $49.46 - $57.46 per hour
