Job Purpose: This strategic position is responsible for the management of Fujifilmโ€™s single use device portfolio as it relates to both upstream and downstream activities. This key contributor must work cross-functionally within the organization and effectively with external stakeholders (e.g., Key Opinion Leaders) to execute company initiatives and manage all aspects of product commercialization. They must also be capable of contributing to the evolution of the organization as new products, procedure types, and business methods gain adoption.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of Fujifilmโ€™s device portfolios, and working cross-functionally with various stakeholders internally and externally (e.g., healthcare professionals, sales & field personnel, global R&D, operations, regulatory, global marketing, other companies/device manufacturers, etc.)
  • Support and drive 3 โ€“ 5-year strategic plans for Fujifilmโ€™s single use endoscopy device portfolio as well as develop the potential for synergistic devices and strategic partnerships to broaden adoption and market share for Fujifilmโ€™s products.
  • Lead market assessment, commercialization, and all required activities throughout their product life cycle, including but not limited to initial strategic assessment of the respective opportunities, competitive landscape and how each Fujifilm device pre-release preparation, evaluation, launch, training, post-launch observations/trouble shooting, and product retirement.
  • Support broader team as it relates to downstream initiatives (i.e. product launch, product demonstrations, etc.)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the marketplace. Activities include delivering various presentations, conducting site-visits, attending shows and conferences, inquiry handling, etc. Partner with global marketing to identify appropriate KOLs that could support new product development and provide valuable feedback on products and market (i.e. coordinate clinical labs and office/conference evaluations for new products with KOL and global marketing teams).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Sales team by supporting clinical demos and developing tactical plans to drive adoption and commercial success.
  • Play a central role to provide clinical, technical, and market knowledge in the product franchise(s): which includes but is not limited to Fujifilmโ€™s products and services, peripheral and competitorsโ€™ offerings, clinical and technology trends.
  • Collaborate closely with and stay actively engaged in future pipeline discussions together with other product management members, international headquarter liaisons, R&D, and marketing personnel. Stay solution-focused and positively suggest product improvements and innovation.
  • Work closely with global marketing and R&D counterparts to share best practices and leverage successes in other regions.
  • Work with sales/sales leadership, clinical specialist team, and field service engineers in the management of field initiatives.
  • Assist in managing elements of trade show participation with regards to show objectives, booth and partnership equipment requirements, hands-on workshops, and overall execution of an event.
  • Provide technical assistance to healthcare professionals and internal staff who have technical questions or problems. Communicate expert opinions on behalf of company products and offer possible solutions to the problems. Technical assistance should reflect functionality of the Fujifilm products as well as the intended clinical benefits and utility of these products in a given procedure(s).
  • Support training on product operations, reprocessing, and manufacturerโ€™s requirements of the portfolio.
  • Assist in building of the product evaluation protocol for new products and lead the evaluation on-site. This includes managing the site selection process, tactical protocol deliverables, and summarization of project results to global headquarters.
  • Develop tactics to drive adoption and broader recognition of clinical and economic benefits of Fujifilm technology (i.e. clinical as well as white paper strategy).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Recommended 5 years of work experience in a product management/product marketing capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years of medical device experience, GI/Flexible endoscopy preferred.
  • Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self-starter who can motivate others, influence without authority, and promotes a strong sense of urgency.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to calculate, balance, analyze sales and marketing data, prepare detailed reports and report data.
  • Ability to present and speak effectively and professionally to all internal and external customers.
  • Effective Time Management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds up to 10% of applicable work time.
  • Close Vision: The ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less.

Travel:

  • Availability to frequently travel, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time. Largely domestic but some international travel may be required.
  • Possess valid driverโ€™s license.
