As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite networks that enable connectivity to iPhone and Watch Ultra when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Find My, and Messages via satellite to stay connected when they have no other means to communicate. Embodying Apple’s core DNA, the ideal candidate will own and drive safety features for users who are beyond terrestrial cellular and Wi-Fi coverage. This begins with a deep, empathetic understanding of our users and their unique needs when off-grid, balancing real-world technical constraints while developing a strong, user-centric vision. Working with key stakeholders both inside and outside Apple, you will execute on this vision, soliciting feedback to refine the roadmap and align all teams. Managing schedules, capabilities, and escalations is a key aspect of this role.\\n\\nThis position requires a unique blend of strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within Apple"s culture, alongside rigorous technical and project management capabilities (including proactive communication, robust documentation, and an iterative mindset). Throughout the product lifecycle, you will act as the ultimate advocate for the customer, making swift, informed trade-off decisions to maintain momentum. Your primary focus will be delivering life-saving safety experiences to users without traditional connectivity. Additionally, you will lead these efforts across multiple parallel technology transitions, ensuring we consistently maintain an exceptionally high user-experience bar.
