The Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer is responsible for providing system-level technical support for advanced CMP platforms across development and customer environments. This role plays a critical part in new product introduction (NPI), first tool deployments, and sustaining engineering, ensuring successful transition from development to high-volume manufacturing.
The GPS Engineer works cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, field service, and customers to drive tool performance, reliability, and continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a system-level technical expertΒ for advanced CMP platforms across development and customer environments
- Support new product introductions (NPI), including first builds, qualification, and FirstβInβFab deployments
- Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysisΒ for complex tool and process issues beyond first-line support
- Drive continuous improvementΒ by feeding field learnings back into engineering, influencing design and process changes
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and field service teamsΒ to ensure seamless product performanceΒ
- Support customers globally, including escalation management and direct engagement during critical issues
- Develop strategies to improve tool uptime, reliability, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Contribute to development of procedures, documentation, and training materialsΒ for field teams

What You Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with CMP semiconductor equipmentΒ
- Proven ability in troubleshooting complex system-level issuesΒ and driving resolution
- Experience working across engineering, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams
- Familiarity with tool installations, qualifications, and production ramp support
- Data-driven mindset with experience using performance metrics and analytics to drive improvements
- Ability to operate independently as a technical authority in high-pressure situations
- Own resolution of high-impact escalationsΒ affecting customer production
- Provide technical leadership and mentoringΒ to field and support teams
- Influence product roadmap through deep understanding of field performance and customer needs
- Lead global initiatives to improve reliability, serviceability, and product performance

Qualifications
- 8+ years of semiconductor equipment experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills at system level
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and customer-facing environments
- Software Knowledge
- Ability to travel internationally as required
- ExperienceΒ with CMP, polishing, or similar wafer processing equipment
- Familiarity with NPI, tool install, and qualification processes
- Experience using data/analytics tools (Excel, JMP, Python, etc.) for performance analysis
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab operations
- Prior experience supporting global customers or high-volume manufacturing
