Obsidian Security is seeking a skilled product manager with deep expertise in cybersecurity and a passion for artificial intelligence (AI) to lead the development of cutting-edge security products. You will help customers solve fast-growing SaaS security problems by developing and executing a strategic roadmap, collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with data scientists, security researchers, engineers, and customers to bring innovative AI-powered features to market. This is a highly strategic role with a direct impact on the safety and resilience of digital ecosystems across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own product strategy and roadmap for AI-based cybersecurity products (e.g., threat detection, behavior analytics, anomaly detection, threat intelligence, etc.).
- Partner with engineering, data science, and threat research teams to design and develop scalable and effective security solutions.
- Conduct extensive market research to understand customer pain points, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape in SaaS security, with a focus on identity and data security.
- Define and monitor product success metrics (e.g., threat detection efficacy, false positives, model performance, customer adoption).
- Develop a compelling product strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company's mission to secure SaaS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric product solutions that prioritize usability and security outcomes.
- Engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and validate product concepts.
- Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating the value proposition to customers, partners, and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 2β3 years in cybersecurity and/or AI/ML-focused products.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, etc.).
- Experience with AI/ML technologies: anomaly detection, supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP/LLMs, graph analytics, etc.
- Strong communication skills β bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage product lifecycle from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, or cloud security products.
- Experience in handling data privacy, model governance, and adversarial attacks on AI systems.
- Background working in a B2B SaaS, cybersecurity vendor, or enterprise security team.
- Hands-on experience in identity security, access management, or data governance.
- Prior experience in an enterprise security team with a strong understanding of enterprise security needs, workflows, and key stakeholders.
- Experience bringing security products to market, including go-to-market strategy and customer engagement.
