Ivans, a division of Applied Systems, is currently searching for a Director of Product Management to lead the development and execution of a new P&C insurance carriers-facing software offering. You would be working on a multi-year industry changing bet, with an attractive market size and significant potential. What Youβll Do
Β
- Act as the business owner for Ivansβ new P&C insurance carriers-facing software offering; help define and execute itsβ strategy for product launch and continued expansion and growth.
- Interface with external customers, including partners, to capture the voice of the customer and ensure challenges and opportunities are fully understood and captured.
- Motivate and lead a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to help prioritize and build customer-driven requirements with a focus on speed-to-market.
- Work closely with UX and Development teams to ensure customer needs are clearly communicated and designed into future solutions.
- Incorporate new requirements and enhancements into the product technical roadmap and champion these initiatives through the intake, prioritization, and development stages.
- Work closely with other internal product teams to integrate and build new solutions that add value to shared customers/users.
- Plan & track product performance to address emerging customer requirements and scale customer adoption.
- Help develop and refine new product value propositions that resonate with our customers, balance contrasting interests among customer sets, and function across target markets.
- Build enthusiasm among key stakeholders and guide new products through the early stages of the lifecycle, including legal/regulatory reviews and implementation assets and training.
- Support adjacent products, and drive development of new products and features.

What Youβll Need to Succeed
Β
Weβre looking for someone who:
- Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.
- Ability to travel (15%-20%).
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- 5+ years ofΒ experience in Product Management.
- 2+ years of people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, both strategically and tactically.
- Strong analytical andΒ quantitative skills to support management and prioritization of productΒ go-to-market.
- Proven ability to makeΒ smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs.
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

Additionally, you may have:
- Insurance industry experience.
- Experience launching successful software products.
- Experience managing API-driven products.
- Experience managing product ecosystems.
- Experience understanding the requirements for both front-end and back-end software solutions.
- Experience integrating multiple products into one platform.
- Knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies (Agile Scrum, etc.)
- Experience with Amplitude, Confluence, or Jira helpful.
