The Business Development Product Manager is responsible for assisting with the analysis, operations and growth of the Companyβs card programs, including its existing credit card program called The Bullion Card and any new credit and debit card programs. The candidate must be comfortable working with large data sets and complex financial models.
The day in the life of a Business Development Product Manager...
- Analyze trends in The Bullion Card customer onboarding journey, from card application, to bank approval, to card activation, to spend on a card. Make recommendations to get customers further down the funnel / journey.

Understand and evaluate customer behavior, including:
- Behavior before and after getting The Bullion Card.
- Behavior of recently approved cardholders and long-term approved cardholders.
- How The Bullion Card customers differ from other customers.
- Card spend on the Companyβs platforms and off of the Companyβs platforms.
- How customers redeem points, including frequency of redemption and size of redemption.
- Understand and analyze various credit card customer cohorts and how each cohort contributes to the Companyβs bottom line profitability. Calculate and monitor lifetime value (LTV) for each cohort.
- Determine how various promotions, such as a signup bonus, 0% APR, holiday promotions, etc. drive customer behavior and bottom-line Company profitability. Work with Marketing team and bank partner to launch new promotions.
- Evaluate how card programs and card rewards can be integrated into the companyβs overall loyalty program. Quantify how The Bullion Card affects loyalty and customer retention.
- Work with Marketing and IT teams to make improvements to the overall Bullion Card customer experience on APMEX.com, the APMEX mobile app, OneGold.com and the OneGold mobile app.
- Build relationships with internal departments and bank partner.
- Work with external vendors including banks, payment processors, networks and card production companies to explore launching new card products.
